You can continue to take ASA or aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) without fail. Other blood thinners must be changed or paused after consultation with your family doctor or treating physicians and with us. You will be informed about this.

The bladder examination is usually performed under local anesthesia, which normally does not affect the ability to drive. Should this exceptionally be performed under general anesthesia, you must organize a pick-up beforehand.

If the surgery is performed under general anesthesia or spinal anesthesia, you will need to arrange a pick-up before the surgery begins, but you will be informed about this in advance. As a rule, you will not be able to drive for 24 hours after the anesthesia.

If the surgery is performed under local anesthesia, driving ability is not affected. Nevertheless, we sometimes recommend that you arrange for a companion or driver. You will be informed about this as well.
